#phosh 0.7.0 is out 🚀 : https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh/-/releases/v0.7.0
This features automatic media mounting, initial support for background XML, handling of per app `show-banners` notification setting and fixes for swipe window closing by @exalm@floss.social
@Phaserune @craftyguy i didn't look yet but i'll need to fix that to reduce boot flickering.
There will be another #XMPP #sprint upcoming weekend. The topic is on UX and features.

Starting a phone call from the terminal on a #librem5 Birch. This call is to the good old "Fröken ur" speaking-clock service telling us the current time in Swedish. Fröken ur apparently existed since 1934 but it was not until 2020 that I learned how to call her from the terminal. 😃 Thanks @dos for the tip that xdg-open could be used in this way. @purism #calls #mobile #gnu #linux #freesoftware
... and here's the same from yesterday but on a #librem5.
For some reason #plymouth chokes a little compared to the devkit. Patches are all out there now so everyone can build their own encrypted #PureOS images.
#osk-sdl changes are already merged upstream, thanks @craftyguy
@twrightsman not for #debian #bullseye but maybe for #bullseye+1
Based on @craftyguy 's #osk-sdl work i added cryptsetup-initramfs support to the #librem5's image-builder so one can build #luks encrypted images too. There's more work needed for this to hit the factory floor but at least one can build own images with encryption once all is merged. The video shows the devkit since this a bit simpler to debug over serial:
@Phaserune @purism ...and @exalm@floss.social even implemented the close button coming back on mouse hover (for docked mode)
#phosh 0.6.0 is out 🚀 : https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh/-/releases/v0.6.0
Besides more fixes for docked mode, the most visible change is @exalm@floss.social 's work to close apps by swiping up. This needs #libhandy 1.0.2.
