Wissing: „Wir dürfen die Verkehrsteilnehmer nicht gegeneinander ausspielen“. Ich sag mal so, das kann auch nur von einem Autofahrer kommen und wie perfide es ist: Ein Sachargument heischend im Kern jedoch erstmal das auch für Schwächere legitime Recht unversehrt anzukommen als übergriffige Forderung darstellen. Denn Autofahrer*innen töten gewohnheitsmäßig mit Ihren Gefährten andere Verkehrsteilnehmer, nicht umgekehrt. Denn von Fußgänger*innen, die auf dem Zebrastreifen PKWs zerlegen oder Fahrradfahrer*innen, die beim Rechtsabbiegen LKW übersehen und in den Asphalt mangeln liest und hört man eher selten bis nie. Daher ist die richtige Forderung des Ministers nach sicheren Wegen entgegen seiner noch wichtigeren Forderung, der der zu schützenden Verkehrsmittelwahlfreiheit, nur dadurch zu erreichen, dass wir innerstädtisch Mobilität vom schwächsten Glied, dem unkaroserierten Menschen und nicht vom stärksten, dem Auto her denken und ausserstädtisch Mensch mit und ohne Auto trennen. Fahrräder auf Landstraßen sind wie Todeswunsch und Giftspritze. Und nein, die aktuelle Idee verschlammte, löchrige Traktor-Ackerwege als ländliches Fahrradnetz zu verkaufen ist bestenfalls das Testat einer boshaften ländlichen Verkehrspolitik aber keine Fahhradinfrastruktur. Ja, das alles bedeutet, dass man innerorts deutlich weniger Autos, vielleicht sogar keine hat.

There are a lot of things I want to work on like:

But I will focus on tweaking the existing features for a first tagged release instead!

Mit bestem Willen: Es ist völlig unverständlich, dass diejenigen, die Ihren Energiebedarf auf Erneuerbare Quellen umgestellt haben, 19 Prozent Mehrwertsteuer zahlen, während der Verbrauch klimaschädlicher Gase lediglich mit 7 Prozent besteuert wird. Was für ein teurer Fehlanreiz.

As this came up multiple times: phosh 0.20.0 currently requires GTK animations to be on:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations true
So if you (or your distro) turned it off please enable it before updating as otherwise you won't be able to use the overview.
I know animations are on by default in #pureos and #debian so nothing to do there.

Neu oder gebraucht - nur bitte ohne Polyrattan, Kunstoffgeflecht, PE-Geflecht.
Auch nicht, wenn das total lange hält und pflegeleicht ist. Ich bin auch nicht pflegeleicht und komme klar. Ich komme also auch mit Dir klar, wenn ich Dich pflegen muss.
Heimische Hölzer wären toll. Rattan geht auch, aber ein Klassiker aus Weide wäre schon super!

On many Japanese toilets, the hand wash sink is attached so that you can wash your hands and reuse the water for the next flush. Japan saves millions of liters of water every year doing this.

Das ist wirklich erstaunlich. Ich musste die Stelle mehrere Male schauen, um mir sicher zu sein, dass ich gegen den "Verhörer" nichts machen kann.
Mit offenen Augen getäuscht...
Die Arbeit im #Garten fängt an Früchte zu tragen.
Auf der Terasse stehen ebenfalls Pflanzen. Hier eine Gruppe aus #Sunviva Tomate, Dorada Paprika und Balsambirne aka Bittergurke.
Die Paprika hatte einen Sturzschaden erlitten und war komplett abgebrochen. Sie hat wieder ausgetrieben und bekommt nun sogar Früchte.
Süße Sunviva Tomaten sind bereits reif und die ersten Bittergurken lassen auch nicht mehr lange auf sich warten.
Die blühende Balsambirne verströmt angenehme Geruch.

I'd like to hear from people that are running #phosh on other devices than the #librem5 or #pinephone (including pro) to get a better idea about the use cases.
Is it portrait or landscape by default? What's the native resolution and display diagonal?

Went on a ride on the roadbike and planned the route beforehand using #brouter web.
The #gpx can be imported into #PureMaps to show on the map.
Without knowing ahead I left the part of the map I had for offline navigation on my #librem5.
But still I could follow the gpx shown on the very course worldmap by just keeping my position at the critical turns on the track.
In combination with brouters webinterface a good replacement for #osmand.
Die Mosel heisst jetzt "Marie"
Da die Quelle der Mosel versiegt ist und das Wasser des Bachlaufs, der den Anfang der Mosel bildet, aus der weiter unten gelegenen Quelle "Marie" kommt, schlage ich vor, dass wir die Mosel in "Marie" umbenennen.
So I followed instructions and installed the OSM Scout Server including the Map Manage to download #Openstreetmap maps.
Downloaded the stuff the server asked for and quit the program.
In PureMaps selected the offline profile and ... yes, the scout server got started via dbus in the background.
Switched off internet connection and tried offline maps: Just works.
Next roadbike trip using my #Librem5 ahead - this time with offline maps.

The nicest roadbike routes leave as much civilisation as possible behind just taking the pavement to roll on with them. Often best routes have gaps in mobile reception.
I remembered PureMaps on my way back and installed the flatpak when I came back. Flawless.
Fast.
Did I mentione already that it is blazing fast compared to gnome-maps?
But still online.
But already the introduction on the first start shows information about offline use.

I took out the #Librem5 (wondering how not-so-hot it was in ~30°C bright sun) and unlocked the screen and found my prepared map with a marker for my position on it.
I absolutly didn't expect this to happen, because I didn't waste any minute, yet, trying the gps beside once trying to get some data just to make sure it's really built-in and somehow working.
But gnome-maps is painfully slow and absolutly useless without internet connection.
