I just made two exciting discoveries using my .

I postponed any work on using maps and navigation until just the moment I needed a map on a trip in an unknown region.

I started gnome-maps and painfully slow moved the map to the place I knew I would be in doubt about taking the right turns - just in case.

And really, there's been unexpected constructions in the road and I had to go another way and had problems finding back to my planned route.

@dos just replied informing me that not gnome-maps is slow by itself, but that this is an issue with on mobile linux which in the meantime has been fixed.

@chrichri @dos you were running ? Because I think it never manifested in as it was related to the wlroots 0.15.x update.

@chrichri @dos With expect such breakage every now and then (that's why it's experimental).

@agx @dos

The idea that the gnome-maps issue could have been a problem with phoc just didn't come to me.

It felt so damn like the loading of the map being slow and the drawing just appeared normal.

Wrong intuition...
