As this came up multiple times: phosh 0.20.0 currently requires GTK animations to be on:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations true
So if you (or your distro) turned it off please enable it before updating as otherwise you won't be able to use the overview.
I know animations are on by default in #pureos and #debian so nothing to do there.

@agx Is there a reduced motion option for accessibility?
@aral As far as I understand it the `org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations` is exactly for that purpose. It corresponds to the "Enable animations" settings in g-c-c's accessibility menu.
@agx Ah, right, so basically there is a bug in Phosh right now that means this accessibility feature doesn’t work. Do you know if there’s an issue open for the actual bug?
@aral sure, linked in the inital post: https://social.librem.one/@agx/108837311283905078
@agx Ah, sorry, I meant for the accessibility bug of not being able to turn animations off in Phosh. That issue seems to be about not being able to run Phosh.
@aral No bug for that yet. Parts will be handled via the setting mentioned in #818 since libhandy picks that up too but we have parts in phoc (the slide back animation), phosh (e.g. the osd slike in/out that don't look at that setting yet.
@aral for the #phosh side I've filed https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/phosh/-/issues/825
@agx Thanks, Guido; I appreciate it :)
@agx just installed the update to add new swipe up and down UX features. It works amazingly well! i wonder if the whole bottom bar could go next while leaving only the expand keyboard button, it could come back if a mouse is detected. anyways excellent work.
