The / side went smoother than expected gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/ (thanks Philip!) so chatty and calls will show different LED feedback in upcoming releases: source.puri.sm/Librem5/chatty/ once 2.70 is out.

@Alexmitter nobody is working on the media player widget atm afaik

@iooioio libnotify supports all the details of the fdo notification spec while glib being cross platform only uses a subset and e.g. categories are an fdo only thing (not even the flatpak portals support any way to convey those details). So we need to find a way to have applications suppply this inforation: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/

@karmanyaahm @unifiedpush thanks. A self hostablle push notification service would certainly be nice for apps to use at some point. Is there work being done on a distributor for GNOME or Linux in general?

Notifications are coming to 's lockscreen. Also in progress is different haptic/led feedback depending on the set notification category. The /#feedbackd side is mostly there and it works with but needs changes in to work with too.

@carlosgonz@mastodon.social note that you need libadwaita and gstreamer 1.19 too so flatpak is the easiest option (it builds pretty fast). Please file bugs if things don't work since fediverse can't capture enough details.

@carlosgonz@mastodon.social you really want to file bugs with screenshots. It sure covers the whole screen here in fullscreen mode and also attach console output when e.g. launching a video fails.

@carlosgonz@mastodon.social did you select µPlayer as default for handling videos?

@carlosgonz@mastodon.social works fine here in nautilus. Any error messages in the console? Does `flatpak run org.sigxcpu.Livi --h264-demo` run?

@linmob Just noticed that you already mention X-KDE-FormFactor - sorry for the noise.

@linmob Oh, I've also worked on a MR that makes the information in the desktop file superfluous by using more specific information from the metainfo XML: source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh/- - that's not yet finished though but will allow more specific filtering for e.g. tablets or TVs.

(we'll keep parsing of the existing tags though for backward compatibility)
