The Maine legislature is now considering a bill that would defund the state’s intelligence fusion center. This could become a national model for rolling back the mass surveillance apparatus that’s been growing since 2001. eff.org/deeplinks/2021/03/eff-

To ease debugging issues on the road i made -logs shrink to smaller screen sizes. This is based on @brainblasted 's work to make -logs use initially.

The firmware replacement is the work of Biktorgj (github.com/Biktorgj) :) I work on the #ModemManager part to integrate the modem properly within #phosh.

It would be interesting to see if this is related to ModemManager or the modem firmware. Feel free to reach out to us on Matrix in #pinedev:matrix.org !

EFF’s browser extension HTTPS Everywhere just got even better! We’ve partnered with DuckDuckGo to incorporate its Smarter Encryption rulesets into HTTPSE, giving users greater coverage for connecting to safer, encrypted versions of the websites they visit. eff.org/press/releases/eff-par

To the tech community let's stop using the phrase "This is or isn't my daily driver". This is terrible and who should have say three cars in the garage and only use the Prius for Groceries, the Porsche for Highway driving, the the Tahoe for going skiing. That's for rich people, how about having one daily driver like a Subaru to do it all, there should be one device to rule them all not 3 or 7 that's a nightmare scenario when it comes to maintenance costs, upkeep costs, cross device data loss etc
