We're close to merge request #1000 in . Thanks for all the contributions! Who will open MR1000 ?

Got to play (as in only tested, and did none of the work), with a couple merge requests in to improve VPN support in
Top bar shows a VPN padlock symbol, and the openvpn connection worked. In this case using Librem One. And Duckduckgo thinks I am in the US.
One note: this was only for adding better support for VPN in , the VPN settings panels in Control Center still need to be made adaptive. But again: “hey it is progress”. Kudos to @agx for this work!

@carlosgonz@mastodon.social @dos 0.10.0 has all the changes/fixes and works with 0.12.x, 0.11.0 is the same *excapt* that it uses wlroots 0.14.x. We had the chance to keep that separte so distros have some .

This has been live since July but I think I never "formally" announced it.

If you want to be always up to date about what's cooking for the next release (besides what's already merged to the main branch) check out phosh-next: source.puri.sm/Librem5/phosh-n - it gets all the merge-requests that are waiting for more review, some minor cleanups, etc. The current list of MRs is in the commit message and `debian/changelog`.

Please don't ship that in distributions but additional review, feedback and testing is certainly very welcome.

phoc 0.10.0 and 0.11.0 have been released ➡️ gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/p

0.10.0 contains several fixes for window and shell layer placement, better handling of tiled windows, output mapping for tablets and external touchscreens, and lots of code cleanups; 0.11.0 is the same as 0.10.0 except of having wlroots upgraded from ancient 0.12.0 to latest stable 0.14.1. Enjoy!

Calls 42.alpha.0 has been released 🚀

It features avatars in more places, helps phosh handle DTMF on the lockscreen, various UI tweaks, improved history scrolling performance and a couple of fixes.
Have a look at the release notes
gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/calls/-
for details.

#calls #phosh #librem5 #purism #gnomeonmobile #gnome #linux

@purism great news! The #librem5 VoLTE works great on T-Mobile USA!

@martijnbraam @joao @merge

Given that @merge 's camera driver for the selfie cam is already in -next which will reduce i2c/media and the redpine driver will switch to the mainline one (which will remove the largest chunk) the next big hunk is the dp-port phy (which I guess is on me).

@martijnbraam @joao @merge that works too, if I use stable/linux-5.15.y instead of origin//master as the base the result looks reasonable

@martijnbraam @joao @merge if I read the code correctly that's because you look for a search base with master but the stable point releases are never merged back there. I think it's simplest if @merge publishes a tag top of linux 5.15 ?
He already looked at 5.16 so we could just use that as a base?

@martijnbraam @joao did you try the next/byzantium branch? We could also create a tag/branch that makes it simpler to derive the kernel version from it (/cc @merge

@ducheng once you add support in -calls the side comes with little extra effort.

phosh 0.14.1 is out 🚀 :

It has lock screen phone call improvements, better thumbnails, a "Run command" dialog and lots of fixes for every day use. Check the release notes gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/p for details.

@dannycolin yes, now that some of the customizations have gotten higher in quality, parts could be upstreamed. Created gitlab.com/postmarketOS/mobile as starting point.
