If you build #Debian packages a lot and want to test drive them quickly then "sudo debi" is your friend.

git-buildpackage 0.9.31 is out:
http://lists.sigxcpu.org/pipermail/git-buildpackage/2023-May/000488.html
If you use --upstream-vcs-tag and have projects with repacked tarballs then this release should make this use case simpler (thanks to a patch by Richard Laager). There's some bugfixes as well.
I was shocked to find out that cl2vcs (a tool to map #debian changelog entries to git commit) still uses #python 2 so I updated it to #python3, fixed some things along the way and released version 0.0.5: https://git.sigxcpu.org/cgit/cl2vcs/tag/?h=v0.0.5
Here's how it longs like for multipath-tools: https://honk.sigxcpu.org/cl2vcs/index.cgi?pkg=multipath-tools
As this came up multiple times: phosh 0.20.0 currently requires GTK animations to be on:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface enable-animations true
So if you (or your distro) turned it off please enable it before updating as otherwise you won't be able to use the overview.
I know animations are on by default in #pureos and #debian so nothing to do there.

git-buildpackage 0.9.28 is out
https://git.sigxcpu.org/cgit/git-buildpackage/commit/?h=debian/0.9.28&id=227726ed493648b65c9a93924271a71f1b4b3551
and landed in Debian and on #pypi. This unbreaks python 3.9 support for those not on 3.10 yet.

phosh 0.20.0~beta1 is out 🚀📱 :
Couple of days late due to #Debian Reunion in HH but here we go:
* swipe gestures on top and bottom bar
* quick settings and top bar on lock screen
* Revamp settings menu
* Lots of detail fixes
It's a beta since we want to put some final touches on gestures and top-bar to not regress (see https://gitlab.gnome.org/groups/World/Phosh/-/milestones/2#tab-issues).
Check out the full release notes https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/phosh/-/tags/v0.20.0_beta1 for details.

Heads up: phosh-osk-stub moved out of #phosh's repo and to: https://gitlab.gnome.org/guidog/phosh-osk-stub as it acquired more and more cruft while debugging some (now fixed) touch input related issues in #gtk 4.
Mostly mentioning it here since some distros (such as #debian) used it in the past on architectures that had trouble building #rust to fulfill session dependencies (which is not an issue anymore nowadays) so it can safely be dropped.
…and thanks to #debconf's video team here's the talk on #debian on #mobile devices: https://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/debian-meetings/2021/MiniDebConf-Regensburg/debian-on-a-smart-phone-are-you-serious.lq.webm
I gave a short talk about #debian on mobile devices at the #DebianMiniDebconf in Regensburg last weekend (https://wiki.debian.org/DebianEvents/de/2021/MiniDebConfRegensburg#Saturday) and I could present the slides using a #librem5 with HDMI over usb-c connected to the presenter and phom (https://source.puri.sm/guido.gunther/phom) as a virtual mouse. Needed some hacks still to e.g. bring up #squeekboard to exit full screen but I think we can make this work out of the box in the future.
