@mntmn The L5 looks compelling enough and Purism appears to be very committed to openly developing the Linux phone ecosystem.

Admittedly the price is high but, the product is not subsidized (by selling user data) and similarly it isn't sold at a loss because they are planning to make a profit though associated app sales. My feeling is that the price is fair.

TLDR; I preordered one a couple of years ago and I have no regrets.

@agx @purism Whoa I'm confused. Did you just connect an n900 to the L5 and it auto-mounted the n900 partitions, or are you saying that the L5 is now automatically showing up as a sub mass storage when connected to another computer?

@purism That looks amazing! Also, this goes without saying but, you guys have really stepped up your game with regard to the quality of your videos.

@thomasorus Have you by any chance checked out that new Ubuntu release on the pi? I'm also running Manjaro on mine at the moment but, I would totally switch over if Ubuntu performed better.

Just made my first mobile payment with my bank app straight from the Librem 5 - via Anbox. The last reason to occasionally boot an Android phone just went poof! :)

@kyle Oh man, the Libretto was so cool! Unfortunately I was just a poor kid back when those were around. All I could afford back then, were copies of that huge Computer Shopper magazine... where I could read about and admire things such as the Libretto.

I guess that's one great thing about being an adult, you can generally afford to get the things you want... well within reason that is.

@hamner Awesome work! How's the performance looking?
