@mpanhans Yeah, I agree. It just makes sense. Now, not everyone has a site to link, but I think most people who would want to verify their association with any given thing would have a corresponding site.

A tip for those who haven't seen this yet. has its own "" system. Adding a link to your Mastodon profile from your website using the rel="me" attribute will that the owner of both the site and profile are the same, and you get this nifty green highlight to show it.

I am looking for more moderators for mastodon.social. Please e-mail staff@mastodon.social if you are interested, but please only apply if you have consistently been here for a while.

Since there are so many new people heading this way in the latest , I thought I’d share my again. I’m an Evangelist for and a nerdy podcaster on @reality2cast and FLOSS Weekly on @twitnews where my interests are expanding more and more into and . I am also a Journal alum and a huge fan of , the open web, user and privacy-respecting and , ceramics, and really good and .

@phenaproxima@mastodon.social Love the bio. 😆

@jitteringrunt I don’t get out much because patio weather is rare here, but I guess I’m just not used to how funny people are. 😂

OH at the coffee shop: “Wherever there’s a problem, bear mace solves it.” Well okay then.

@starshaped the other contender is a spiral bound one with extra dot grid paper per month from plum paper. I love using dot grid and a larger page for my copious notes, but the spiral can get clunky. Decisions. lol

@starshaped all in for the Hobonchi content! I went back to a paper planner in 2021 I think, and it’s weirdly effective at stress reduction. I’m intrigued by the Hobonchi paper.

Figured I should post an #intro here for those who don’t know me! I’m Aubrey and I work as a #frontenddev at Lullabot, doing fun #drupal goodness with #css and #html. I also write #javascript sometimes, too! For fun I #knit, #run, and plan in my #hobonichi using my many #fountainpens. Give me a follow if any of that sounds interesting!

@mglaman and thanks for the input. It’s something I’ve been thinking about lately in a much broader sense. How to you measure a “healthy” open ecosystem? Do we need to? What’s the right way to balance corporate and community interests? Why does Dimples like to wake me up by making loud digging noises in the middle of the night? These are my Friday night thoughts.

@jasonbrooks I’ve wished I could quote. I have never thought of it as promoting a negative type of interaction. 🤷‍♀️

@Tay0 I think Galveston is underrated. It has a very certain sort of charm.
