To carry a smartphone from big tech is now to carry a passive surveillance device on your person. You are paying a thousand dollars to have your privacy violated. its why you should choose a device from @purism as you dont have to trust purism at all you can trust the code as it should be (i do trust purism by the way but just saying). so stay away from all things google and the all seeing i. edwardsnowden.substack.com/p/a

Hmm, is Oct 20 gadget day for Cybette? Which gadgets have I recently acquired to continue this trend? 🤓

I work on a new article about Matrix on Linux phones and thought I would just quickly ask the Fediverse for a little input. I have two categories, one is clients I go into more detail about and the other is just some I want to mention but that don't work well.

In detail:
Fluffychat
Hydrogen
Nheko
NeoChat
Fractal

Others:
Kazv
Quaternion
Spectral
Gomuks
Mirage
Chatty

If you know any I missed please tell me about them!

Working on a new video, I'm going to be speculating on how capable the #pinephonepro will be

@da_habakuk That's a good question. I think with the current PinePhone, it's not quite there. The #PinePhonePro is rumored to run about the speeds of midrange Android devices. This isn't SUPER speedy, but it could be enough to push it into usability range for an average user. If it gets enough support, a PinePhone2 could very well already be reaching the "i don't care about specs" range.
