When it comes to customizing my system & DE, GNOME has always been a big hang-up.

@array GNOME, modular? From using it, I got the impression that it was more modular than it appeared, but I could never quite understand it the way I could KDE.
I'm really curious, how did you mix and match stuff with Gnome, and is there any decent documentation for its architecture?

@RL_Dane I pretty much get annoyed every time I have to use #Windows for more than 10 minutes at a time. (Or #MacOS too, nowadays. I used to be proud of it :'C )

I think about UIs a lot. I'd like to hear different perspectives on it, and I think you'd have some interesting ideas, perspective and maybe theory.

@RL_Dane @slembcke Maybe we have different ways of interacting with our computers, from my experience GTK is OK (besides seeming to ignore server-side-decoration-based environments 😠). I dunno, curious to hear why (if you haven't said already).
