Both photos are taken at around 3MP (quarter the resolution L5 actually supports, but for now only from the command line, while I took it using Megapixels). Manually adjusted the raw image from L5 to have similar color balance as Canon's photo.
The Librem 5 selfie camera used to be useful only outside in the daylight, but with some gain and exposure adjustments you can now make penguin selfies in the middle of the night too! #shotonlibrem5

A few days ago I had an idea for a simple e-ink project and found Inkplate - an Open Hardware design with ESP32 and recycled Kindle displays.
Programmed it to wake up daily at midnight to download a PGM image over WiFi (https://gitlab.com/dos1/kartka) from a server which checks some stuff like trash collection schedule. Should last years on a single battery charge.

Autofocus support can't get soon enough - turns out that trying to take a focused macro shot with manual focus controlled by typing values into the terminal is kinda cumbersome 😂

Here we can see a Plasmus Vulgaris specimen wandering outside of its regular habitat. GTK4's GPU-accelerated GL renderer(s) got a major performance boost in the last few days! Previously it struggled to render simple UIs with single digit FPS on the Librem 5; now it can get pretty fancy :) #librem5 #gnome #gnomeonmobile #gtk
