And if you're interested in pre-ordering the Librem 5, it is on sale two more days.

@feynman@fosstodon.org @kde@mastodon.technology @kde
Yes, totally free. I use KDE Plasma on PureOS, one of the few distros with the blessing of Stallman / FSF.
See gnu.org/distros/free-distros.h
And soon I'll have that same OS on my Librem 5 phone. I'm really curious if this will be the first smartphone Stallman will use ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@fitheach @switchingsocial@mastodon.at @lunduke
Ah ok, I thought you were saying it you're having lots of crashes with it. Maybe I misunderstood.

@fitheach @switchingsocial@mastodon.at
You should ask @lunduke what the version is of the KDEnlive flatpak he always keeps handy, because it is stable (unlike the most current) :)

@infoleck
Klar, was soll man denn auch machen wenn der Google Algorithmus regelmรครŸige Updates mit besserem Ranking belohnt?

(wie viele AKWs man wohl abschalten kรถnnte ohne Nonsenseupdates...)

@synfinner @jwinnie@mastodon.cloud @purism
It certainly does! Admittedly I'm on PureOS KDE Plasma, but even there (secondary target) updates are easily accessible via info area icon.
What many people don't seem to understand is that Purism doesn't specifically target geeks. They're iterating on convenience, so your mom could pick up a Librem in the store and get going within minutes.

Soon it'll be upgraded to PureOS store, also allowing (free) flatpaks for the Laptops and the phone.

@lunduke Likewise:
If nobody is yelling, nobody is getting hurt.โ€ฌ

@blacklight447 @todd PureOS uses AppArmor. Verified boot should be possible but likely not day one. But @kyle wants it ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@come @iykury @purism
Well, if you unintentionally misread him as "nothing wrong with iOS", that's ironic.
But what exactly is wrong with qwerty? Most people would be irritated by dvorak or alphabetical. But if you want that, you might be able to have it, as it's all free software.
