That's the kind of optimistic pessimism I like. https://twitter.com/CarterBays/status/1152648650725756928
@fitheach
DisMay Tory Story 😂
@infoleck
Klar, was soll man denn auch machen wenn der Google Algorithmus regelmäßige Updates mit besserem Ranking belohnt?
(wie viele AKWs man wohl abschalten könnte ohne Nonsenseupdates...)
@synfinner @jwinnie@mastodon.cloud @purism
It certainly does! Admittedly I'm on PureOS KDE Plasma, but even there (secondary target) updates are easily accessible via info area icon.
What many people don't seem to understand is that Purism doesn't specifically target geeks. They're iterating on convenience, so your mom could pick up a Librem in the store and get going within minutes.
(https://puri.sm/posts/up-and-running-with-your-librem-in-three-minutes/)
Soon it'll be upgraded to PureOS store, also allowing (free) flatpaks for the Laptops and the phone.
@synfinner @andre @purism better CPU and Display basically.

@lunduke Likewise:
If nobody is yelling, nobody is getting hurt.
@blacklight447 @todd PureOS uses AppArmor. Verified boot should be possible but likely not day one. But @kyle wants it 😎

Flattered 😍

"[Sydent] no longer persists new associations relating to users on homeservers not run by New Vector... as we continue to improve Identity Server data hygiene practices, we will phase out their use in registration... we will announce a schedule for disabling registration with email and password reset in our Identity Servers entirely."
Privacy Changes to New Vector Identity Servers
As a step towards implementing Terms of Service for Sydent Identity Servers ( MSC2140 ), we're rolling out a couple of changes to the two…
That said, Wilber set an Indiana Jones worth of discursive booby traps for his critics here, even describing some of them in the text:
http://www.kenwilber.com/blog/show/46
I've read one rejoinder that blunders into every one of them. One example, Wilber predicts a phrase he uses in jest will be quoted out of context as proof of what a dick he is, totally ignoring the point he made in that section, and so it is. The way he plays these critics like an orquestra, and their total blindness to it, is hilarious.
@skunksarebetter
I hope this #runsonlibrem5 too 😉
I assume it's not very touch friendly, but should work well on an external screen.
