@amerika

Let's say that the German is big enough to be uncountable for me.

Further more I'd rather not compare killings in numbers. Each violent death is one too much.

Thinking that these sad happenings and the leftover couldn't happen, because we're not part of the xyz-system seems dangerous to me.

We are part of the species that organized these killings and we need to watch our doings and our thoughts.

@amerika

I thought that societies without their own heap of skulls are an exception and that we all needed to learn from the heap next to us.

E.g. in Germany we've got a historical big heap of skulls to learn from.

I guess that most people can tell a tale about the in theirs society history.

How about your society? No ?

Do you know which I reference in German history?

@amerika

"memorial for victims" of something - understandable.

But how did you end up with "communism" in this case? Anything in the relief that reminded you of this specific interpretation?

@zdfmagazin

Hm, Zuckerwasser in Erdölverpackung. Den Müll kann man dann im Betonwerk verbrennen und neue Kinderkliniken bauen.

@AufstandLastGen

@martijnbraam

Two things I'd like to add:

* For those who might not know: @biktorgj is [this person](github.com/Biktorgj). They's got a reputation (not like "Paul Privacy" who didn't publish any security report I would have found through @MetaGer)
* Let's not forget that @nitrokey does a lot for [Open Source and Hardware](github.com/Nitrokey). In my opinion they should just step back from this kind of marketing (and probably from android) and focus on their many achievements.

@nitrokey @chrichri @martijnbraam The problem is, your phone has the same binaries for izat as everyone with a qualcomm from Alcatel to ZTE. And it's OK,this is all part of Qcom SDK and unless you RE'ng all of it you must keep it in place so the phone works as a phone.But accusing others with something that their ODM provides when you are using the same stuff seems unethical.

These snaps are from the vendor partition in grapheneOS for the Sunfish (Pixel 4a)

@nitrokey @chrichri @martijnbraam And even if grapheneOS has them bundled but doesn't actually use them (which wouldn't make much sense but I don't have the hw),the point still stands.Complain about Qualcomm not being transparent enough, but don't talk shit about other phone makers when it's someone else who wrote that piece of software, just to scrap some sales, I'm sure you can find better ways to show your phone is better for privacy than others without resorting to articles written like that

@tasket I'm quoting @janvlug here:

"I use my now nearly one year as my primary phone. It is getting better and better. Call audio quality also hugely improved over time."

There are rough edges, but I own it (I repaired it, I'm finding out how it works, the schematics are hanging on the wall beside my desk).

As far as I can say about any Linux device I use: it's not spying on me.

A short #teaser of what I've been playing with lately. It's a screen recording of my #PureOS #Gnome desktop running on my #Librem14.

Sitting in front of my Librem14 is my #Librem5 pointing its camera at the notebooks screen...

Completely forget: I've tagged version 0.0.3 of μPlayer (a small video player using and targeting fullscreen landscape playback on mobile phones) the other day:

Needed to send some SMS with information I wanted to copy'n'paste from my #Librem14 desktop.

Switched on the #PiKVM to get remote access to my #Librem5 connected to it and found the PiKVM not starting. Disconnecting the hdmi-cable for a few seconds made it boot.

When connected to the PiKVM with a browser the KVM session shows an empty desktop, because top and bottom bars are still on the Librem5s display. To get access to them I connected via ssh and ran the following

export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/1000 wlr-randr --output DSI-1 --off

This disables the phones display and moves the top and bottom bar to the external display - the PiKVM sending it to my browser session.

To cut'n'paste I tested PiKVMs Text menu:

copy some text from the local desktop (in my example a simple text editor)
open the Text menu in the browser session showing PiKVMs web interface
paste the text to the text boxed in the menu
press Paste button
confirm that I really want to paste the text
it's pasted to where the cursor is active on the remote computer - in my case the Librem5

Nice to know even though the same can be achieved through an ssh session to the Librem5 by running

export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/1000 echo "here I pasted whatever I wanted to have in my remote session from my desktop to the ssh session" | wl-copy
