This week was a slam dunk if ever there was one. Every TODO item, no matter how deeply nested, is DONE. Not mad about it at all.

Happy Friyay indeed.

@Gina wow 2nd class rolling like 1st with no one nearby to be The Actual Worst! I like it!

@Gina pretty good! The lovely weather can stay as long as it wants ☀️

Cleaned the keycaps on my Drop ALT, started spinning another 50g of yarn, worked out how I will revive my website for the modern era with , and made a phenomenal lamb dish for dinner. Not a bad Sunday at all!

@silwol been a fun weekend with Rust for me as well. Did a bunch with warp, tera, and pulldown-cmark today. Going to get some Rust-powered systems going on my BBBlacks soon. I’ve finally reached the point where I can write Rust just as fast as I can write Python. Not mad about that one bit.

@kyle given that humans are really bad at the task I can’t imagine them being able to teach AI how to do it any better.

@reality2cast @katherined @doc @kyle great episode. Like @kyle I’ve also kept my passwords in a KeePass DB format for a long time. In the last two years I’ve even managed to get my non-tech friends and family to use it as well. I’ve used the following clients with excellent integration to their environments:

Android: KeePass2Android
iOS: Strongbox
Windows & Linux: KeePassXC

All support TOTP natively as well, for management and use of your 2FA credentials.

A little Monday morning fun with today. I released v0.6.0 of my `connchk` bin+lib crate. This is a breaking change for configuration files, and the README provides the necessary details for users of previous versions to resolve any issues. What's gained from this change are

a) Latency readout for how long successful checks took, and

b) Preservation of target order when results are printed, and

c) Updates to the latest stable releases of dependencies

@jiminycricket @codesections interesting to know. It worked a charm for numerical methods, and for design and control of systems back when I took them. That said I haven’t had to use any of that since I left a .edu environment. Python + pandas has been sufficient for any and all data analysis I’ve need to do since then.

@ju my fiancee will happily take credit for the current winter. At least a dozen times a day she's prayed to any and all available deities for snow. 😂

Still winter outside. This is the first time in my life winter (aka frozen things occurring in nature) has lasted more than 48hrs. 🤯
