I've been distro hopping a bit again lately, but I'm back home on void again. No matter how shiny other distros are, I just can't stay away.

@codesections Finally wiped my Ubuntu machine and am updating packages on void as I type. Turns out I can run MATLAB in the browser (I intentionally use Python instead whenever I can, but have group assignments in MATLAB this quarter)
@jiminycricket @codesections not sure if you’ve seen or used GNU Octave but back when I had a need for MATLAB in school it was a drop in replacement.
@ajmartinez @codesections GNU octave is far too limited for a lot of what I need to do. I have used it before but find the tooling better with python
@jiminycricket @codesections interesting to know. It worked a charm for numerical methods, and for design and control of systems back when I took them. That said I haven’t had to use any of that since I left a .edu environment. Python + pandas has been sufficient for any and all data analysis I’ve need to do since then.
