@kop316 And bread pudding!
@shortwavesurfer2009@cheeseburger.social The phone was locked and my dad was deceased so I didn't have the unlock code, so I assumed a standard factory reset would resolve it like it had on past Android phones. It was only when I was going through that initial setup wizard that I ran into the brick wall that is FRP.
If you collect and use vintage #safetyrazors I recommend adding a Stahly live blade to your collection. Using a hand-cranked, clockwork vibrating razor seems weird at first, but each time mine come up in my rotation I get excellent shaves
@JohanEmpa Lovely collection they have there! That last disassembled one looks like an electro-mechanical Friden. That's one I don't (yet) have in my collection!
I understand the security reasoning for the feature. I just also understand that cooling the secondary market with uncertainty about used phones is likely a stronger motivator for the feature than reducing theft.
This is a great talk on Linux mobile :)

Today I am enjoying the beach!
Thanks to automatic high-contrast mode in #Phosh I can still waste time on the internet 😂
Run
gsettings set sm.puri.phosh automatic-high-contrast true
to enable it, and you can also adjust the
gsettings set sm.puri.phosh automatic-high-contrast-threshold <number>
Thanks @agx for this useful feature!
I may need to pause this restoration for a bit. It is looking like I may need to replace my alternator in my pickup and I only want one disassembled machine lying around at a time.
@twrightsman This is my first printer with a bowden tube instead of direct drive extruder. I will be tweaking settings for awhile I imagine to strike the balance between stringing and jamming. I'm looking forward to the increased build volume over my wanhao i3 plus.
I just got a new #3dprinter which means the next few days will be spent printing out upgrades and accessories for it. First, a bracket to hold the Raspberry Pi that controls it, along with a camera mount.
The way this mechanism works, only some of the gears from the keyboard mesh with the multiplication register gears. Numbers 5 and above are too far out of alignment to mesh with that register. For some reason (angles I guess) this doesn't affect the upper gears as much.
Isn't She Lovely was just on the radio. Ever since I became a parent it gets me every time. But then Careless Whisper followed it and all I could think about was Sexy Sax Man. #truestory #rollercoaster
That's Miss Jackson if you're (spinning) rusty: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/08/janet-jacksons-rhythm-nation-is-officially-a-security-threat-for-some-old-laptops/
@kyle
It is rainy here, so I can't actually test it yet, but I just updated phosh on my pinephone and set this on it also.
Great work from purism with this new phosh update!!!
I should have mentioned how to enable this if you are running Phosh on a Librem 5:
gsettings set sm.puri.phosh automatic-high-contrast true
Phosh has a new optional feature that uses the light sensor to switch to a high contrast theme whenever it detects you are in direct sunlight. Very cool, especially since it also applies to the lock screen and all GTK apps too. #Librem5
