@vincent @todd There is already a application for for Tunnel in PureOS. At the moment it requires pipx to be installed but we are working to package it as *.deb.
These are the installation and configuration instructions:
https://docs.puri.sm/Librem_One/PureOS/VPN_Tunnel.html
They where made for PureOS, but with small adaptations it can work in other Debian based disributions. And with bigger adaptations, it can run in other non debian based GNU/Linux distros
Today we've updated the Librem One website with two important documents:
A short guide to staying safe online no matter what online service you are using. Like our policy document we've kept it short and to the point, with links to more detailed, independent resources if you'd like to learn more.
As well as a code of conduct that makes it clear we will respond to reports of harassment, for example on Librem Social, our opt-in social network.
Time to update 🔔
Tor Browser 8.0.9 fixes the issue which disabled NoScript and all other Firefox extensions signed by Mozilla.
If you used the workaround we mentioned, don't forget to set it back after installing this update. https://blog.torproject.org/new-release-tor-browser-809
One of the fundamental design goals for Librem One, outside of privacy, was linking all of our services under a single convenient login.
One account for:
- Email
- Social
- Chat
- VoIP & Video
@lunduke I would prefer microsoft ceased to exist or really open sourced all their software (GPL) not just their calc, and stuff they have to work with because the cloud is *nix.
As for features from one to another. I'll go by exclusion. None of the spyware features from win10 to GNU/Linux
I went over some of the results of the controversy behind Librem One over here: https://linuxliaison.org/librem-one-the-dust-has-settled/
Seems that things are right again and that they did right by those who care about the cause :) Let me know what you think in the end.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea behind LibremOne from @purism. We, the decentralized internet advocates, are quite far with the tech. What we desperately need is a touch of marketing, bundling, and consumer-friendliness. #LibremOne is doing exactly that. Bravo, and I hope them the very best of success.
