I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/

@Av1 @survey Thank you for the suggestion :) I don't think it is ethical to block ads though. Whether you like a service or not, it *is* how the "free service" is "free", and I like being able to use services without paying them outright.
However -- I use a cross-site tracker blocker, and if that results in a website's ads being blocked... well, they never had the right to cross-site track me in the first place!

The excellent @dansup (creator of @pixelfed) also maintains two very useful Fediverse tools:
➡️ https://fedidb.org - A dashboard for the Fediverse, with details of how server types and specific servers are growing.
➡️ https://fediverse.info/explore/people - An opt-in directory of people on the Fediverse sorted by keyword. You can add yourself to the directory by including special hashtags in your profile.
If you've used them before, take another look as they've both just been revamped.

@mattsledge This is odd. When I have lots of tabs open it's like < 1.5GB usage, and from my experience > ~2GB hasn't happened. What kind of websites do you have open?? I suppose you have some much, much heavier work open than I do 🤷♂️ When I talk about PC memory usage with people, the browser is *never* like that.

Good is functional and evil is dysfunctional -- evil is not supposed to happen, it's an ongoing exception to good.
