Do you use non-free platforms like #YouTube #Twitter or #Google Search (even unregistered) or do you avoid them?

@survey I use , it's unrivaled as of now. ( please 🙏 grow!) I hate how pushy YouTube is with ads now, though!

@golemwire @survey "ublock origin" web extension can get rid of ads on youtube.

Newpipe is great alternative for android devices.

@Av1 @survey Thank you for the suggestion :) I don't think it is ethical to block ads though. Whether you like a service or not, it *is* how the "free service" is "free", and I like being able to use services without paying them outright.

However -- I use a cross-site tracker blocker, and if that results in a website's ads being blocked... well, they never had the right to cross-site track me in the first place!

@golemwire @survey I do like your view.

Though i do whitelist many other sites, i never liked how aggressive the ads on youtube are, even did some searches on how to allow few ads and block few. Couldn't find a way to do so. With no choice been blocking it entirely.

Will look again to be able to reduce ads rather blocking entirely.
