@agx @eliasr Ok I hold off on installing then, it did fail with a certificate error FYI, when I tried

I de-activated my Twitter account today. I had decided to keep it without posting a while back, just in case anyone would try to use my handle to write weird stuff and impersonate me, but I realized there’s no way I’m ever going back to Twitter and posting anything there.

If someone impersonates me, well, since Twitter has become so ridiculous and toxic, I’m sure people will accept that it’s not me talking.

I wasn’t using this account, and hadn’t for something like a year, so, bye « X »!

@agx @eliasr I am testing it now on Byzantium, does it take a while to fetch? or should that process be done in <1hr?

@agx @purism any thoughts while this isnt packaged yet in pureos10? Still running 0.29

@schmiddionmobile very helpful app! was able to take advantage of it during my last DE trip- thank you

Had the need to charge an all electric Kia recently and guess what: both the charging stations app and the vendor's app are proprietary so how would I know when charging finished?

Turns out people around figured out the vendor API so I could use that to have a small app to monitor the charging status on my running

Every time I open Flathub there is a new GNOME / libadwaita app.

UX designers who eliminated the filesystem from user consciousness in name of simplicity ruined the world and are morally culpable for shriveling minds of children who are unable to tackle the challenges of today thanks to a choice sold as advocacy for the user but was ultimately motivated by control of a disempowered customer.

your free software approved device can't watch you, they still haven't reversed the driver to make the camera to work

Google killing off their basic HTML version of Gmail due to basic HTML not including 'full feature functionality' seems like code for 'we don't make ad revenue off this version'.

We relied on the basic HTML version while doing arctic fieldwork in 2017 using low bandwidth satellite internet. Gone were extraneous graphics and junk ads getting served - just mail. It's also no longer possible to auto sort messages in the full version without enabling tracking to serve ads.

@bragefuglseth Defaults are knowingwhat the majority of your users want or use, either through Analytics or i think much simpler would be to survey users or provide option for feedback, with option for feedback the only thing that is typically missing is a feedback loop so a user has no idea if their comment has been read is being worked on, or is ignored

People keep pushing for preferences instead of better defaults. Don’t ask for things to be made configurable, ask for them to be improved!

Upscaler 1.2.0 is available on Flathub 🎉 - Upscaler is an app that allows you to upscale and enhance images, be it 2D or 3D.

We've put a lot of effort to improve stability and compliance with the GNOME interface guidelines. We've also made the following changes/additions:

• New icon
• Add drag & drop support
• New keyboard shortcuts
• Add labels for assistive technologies
• Improve support for high contrast
• Port to newer widgets
• Ellipsize text when file names are too long
• Add WebP support
• Transpose image (useful for photos taken by smartphones)
• New translations
• Add Vulkan checker

I also want to congratulate @gregorni and Matteo for being maintainers and helping out the project :)
