Gardiner from The Linux Gamer covers our Librem 5 shipping announcement with comments from our CEO and CMO youtube.com/watch?v=So_rCYArL3 Thank you for your excitement and support puri.sm/posts/librem-5-shippin

@kyle I have a vat of acid standing by just for this occasion!

@lunduke Yeah, I can't wait for that phone to ship! ๐Ÿ˜„

If I can get 2,141 more subscribers on LBRY... I'll have the most subscribed to channel on LBRY. I just decided I want that.

Help me get there and I'll bring back . ;)

Cool.

My channel is the #4 most subscribed on LBRY.

And my buddy, @gbryant? He's nipping right at my heels in the #5 position.

Help Gardiner defeat me. Follow him here:

@purism Not only did they abandon it, they will now pair the battery to the specific machine so it can't be replaced at all.

I can't speak for the rest of the @linuxjournal archive, but I own the decade+ worth of articles I wrote. A lot of them are just as relevant today (I refer to them myself quite often). Would anyone be interested in some kind of "Best of Hack and /" polished and updated compilation?

I don't believe so. That could be the factor here. Far as I know relies on seeds just like torrent. I'm not as educated as I'd like to be at this point.

@kyle My hometown asks people to gain access to their home security cameras. All in the name of "securing" our town. I'm not against giving them a clip of a car accident outside my home, but ACCESS to my system, they're outside their minds!

@kyle Just as I scream "Government, stay out of my life!", I scream "Tech, stay out of my taste buds and away from my whisk(e)y!"

I had accepted that machines will take over many jobs in the coming decades but tasting whisky? That's the last straw. arstechnica.com/science/2019/0

So far, I haven't run into a video that's not "available"(no peers) on lbry. I ran into that all the time on peertube.

@lunduke I'm seeing this 5 days later, because I forget I have social media and just don't log in very often. I'm mostly found on lbry.

I'm so sorry to say it, but today @linuxjournal closed down for good. As you can imagine we are all so sad that this is the end. You can read my final goodbye here:

@christitus Have you thought of posting your videos to lbry as well as YouTube?
