Just started trying github.com/mirukana/mirage .

Nice experience. Good configuration options by editing a .json config file.

The interface scales nicely and I'm tempted to try it on my . Didn't find out whether the flatpak is supporting the architecture.

@linmob @gnome Thanks for the effort! Hope that someone can fix it.

@mobian O.k. that seems to work :). Followed flatpak.org/setup/Debian/ and then installed the of (~700MB - it comes at some cost...).

Uhm, the installation failed twice at some point and then made my unresponsive to ssh and serial console.

A restart later and another installation try worked :)...

@mobian
Thanks for the explanation! I can follow very well that argumentation. So to package one would have to package all of the "internet-dependencies" independently and pull them in per dpkg-dependency, right?

@linmob @gnome Is there a reason the changes for libhandy were reverted?

@mobian
Uhm, rust apps are a problem for Debian? This sounds quite strange.

There are opinions out there that rust is one of the new emerging programming languages that could really have an impact on security.

E.g. heise.de/hintergrund/Entwicklu (sorry, only in German, but I bet there are a lot of documents out there that describe the dis-/advantages of rust).

@mobian
Thanks @Horizon_Innovations for forwarding to @mobian!

I already tried to install on and found there is no package available.

Could not be included as a ?

@purism made it!

Today I looked for a online radio application for my notebook and found .

Looking at its homepage I've been surprised by the information that it is using and compatible with the .

Now listening to happily. Nice application!

Ever want to test systems & see if your password is ever stored/sent in plaintext?

Make it: X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

I am on the phone with a vendor right now because my test account is in an inoperable state.

#vim tip of the day: You can literally travel back in time. To jump to the state a file had 10 minutes ago, use the following command:

:earlier 10m

To then go forward in time 1 minute, use this command:

"For Facebook and Google [...] the business goal quickly became maximizing and monetizing human attention via addictive dopamine hits. [...] Give artificial intelligence this simple knowledge about what distracts and compels humans, let the algorithms do their work, and the profits snowball. The cumulative effect — and it’s always in the same incendiary direction — is mass detachment from reality, and immersion in tribal fever."

@tdk Thanks for the hint. I have a log of "privacy.resistfingerprint" in my about:config (screenshot).

But what I do not understand is why this question with the "allow" selection preselected shows up for a second and vanishes before I can change it to "no, don't allow".

Even if everything is as I'd expect (no fingerprinting possible) at least the presentation to me as a user is not really reassuring.

BTW: If I try to open amazon with add-on CanvasBlocker enabled the page does not load.
