@zudn If you're talking editing software, shotcut.org/ has served me well (the interface reminds me of the 2004-era iMovie)

@ariadne My iPod touch can't browse much of the internet due to never-to-be-updated certificates...

@JustineSmithies@fosstodon.org And I'm the swipe-typing guy, so sb_predictor.sh from sr.ht/~earboxer/swipeKeyboard/

@JustineSmithies@fosstodon.org music: playerctl and the mpris plugins for your player are a must.

why do I support right to repair? simple: i want to upload my own MIDI files to my washing machine to play when it finishes a cycle without voiding my warranty

@dthompson are you planning to open-source your algorithm?

An opened source is the only way we can verify that things are done fairly.

@brucelawson MVP css (andybrewer.github.io/mvp/) is a good bare-bones framework for making a decent-looking site from scratch. <figure><img> would give you your "big image at the top".

Accessibility is just based on what HTML you feed it.

@mahmoudajawad @tuxdevices "Why not the PPP?" :
I think I just wanted to try an SDM-845 device. It also didn't hurt that it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper (excellent condition refurb). If someone sent me a PPP, I'd gladly try it out tho ;)

@mahmoudajawad @tuxdevices My PinePhone had serious issues with suspend not resuming properly, and occasionally had weird glitchy screen issues. The OnePlus 6 has better battery life and working suspend. It can run a web browser with multiple tabs and other GUI apps without crashing.

@tuxdevices Just switched from PinePhone to the OnePlus 6. The screen is a little jittery, and it's missing camera support, otherwise, it's a nice upgrade.

@Edent I switched my servers from Ubuntu to Alpine. While initial configuration is trickier, I like the larger software repository, which is easier to contribute to, IME.

@zudn @TMakarios I use micro, which is (like nano) a terminal application.
Unlike nano, it has pretty good mouse support and nicer default keybindings.
(The real reason I made the switch was for multiple cursors)

@jameschip 'Why pay a subscription for emulating old games when you can still run emulators on your last gen console.'
(personally, I don't pay the fee, but am on a family plan)

What's a good open source that I can buy in the states? I already have an ethernet switch, so I just need basic 2 port WAN/LAN, maybe with wifi as well.
