As a non-designer (can you tell?), I find lying out and colouring in a web site really hard. Any recommends for a nice open-source design for a 1 pager (for a band), big image at the top, sub-images and associated text, a contact form and a footer? Happy to accessibilise it & contrib back, ofc.

@brucelawson MVP css (https://andybrewer.github.io/mvp/) is a good bare-bones framework for making a decent-looking site from scratch. <figure><img> would give you your "big image at the top".
Accessibility is just based on what HTML you feed it.
