Personal #1 post @ Librem One!
...and for Mastodon in general :)
Great to see all of this progress that @purism has been introducing lately. Can't wait to get my hands on the mighty Librem 5.
@harish If you're still experiencing the trouble, toss an email to support@puri.sm and we can help you out!

Here’s something of a love letter to Linux in general, @purism in specific, and a handful of great programs as well: https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/hello-again-linux. Thanks for publishing it, @linuxjournal!
These are hardware kill switches.
Not a webcam cover. Not software disabled Wi-Fi. Kill switch.
Laptops should have these.
Ours do.
"Nothing I found quite hit that sweet spot. ...but then a colleague suggested I look into Purism. I fell in love and bought a Librem 13. It's been so great."
Guess which two apps arrived in F-Droid today? #libremmail #libremsocial
There's a little bug https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroid-website/issues/353 that means new apps aren't linking properly on the #fdroid website https://search.f-droid.org/?q=librem , but you'll find them via the client!
It doesn't happen often but, when the stars align just right, you can find some good discounts at the Purism store.
Right now Librem 15 laptops can be found for $250 off -- and the pre-order for the Librem 5 smartphone is going up by $50 in June.
Sensor calibration settings can be used by apps/sites to fingerprint iOS and Android phones.
We added a "Lockdown Mode" for the Librem 5 which allows you to defend against this.

The @purism Librem 5 smartphone will run GNU/Linux.
Why will it succeed, when others did not? Is it the hardware kill-switches?
Yes, but mostly it is the all-out privacy and security. The time is right. This era calls for it.
The Librem 5 smartphone -- running GNU/Linux -- is "confirmed for Q3 product shipping."
