You can pre-order the Librem 5 smartphone (shipping starts in Q3) for $649.
Price goes up to $699 soon as we prepare for launch.
@purism I’m excited about this phone. I’m looking forward to seeing more info and demonstrations of the features and apps. I wish I was smart enough to contribute!
@purism I'm very excited by this phone, but it would help to know whether it will be compatible with my current carrier or if it would require a switch.
@purism would be nice to see a real review of the devkit. Since it is not much time to release it would give trust to see a device in real world usage, not just snippets of about some seconds.
At the moment it seems to be laboratory state... Even there is no final hardware-set known. Can you ship a reliable, working, day-by-day used phone in few months?
@purism what are the final specs of the librem5 for the lte frequencies, I would need for Europe, Germany b7 and b20
@pascalvorbach @purism Hi, you can see what will be the supported frequencies and how to see if your carrier will be supported: https://puri.sm/faq/supported-networks/
@purism
I've already ordered mine.
The thing that concerns me is that with the phone scheduled to ship in third quarter. Why are there still so many tbd's?
