Heads up: phosh-osk-stub moved out of 's repo and to: gitlab.gnome.org/guidog/phosh- as it acquired more and more cruft while debugging some (now fixed) touch input related issues in 4.

Mostly mentioning it here since some distros (such as ) used it in the past on architectures that had trouble building to fulfill session dependencies (which is not an issue anymore nowadays) so it can safely be dropped.

So the main reason I wrote the Visual Voicemail App for mainline linux phones is because my mother leave voicemails if she can't get a hold of me to check up on me and gets worried if I don't call her back.

I'm glad to share that my mom can still do that since I switched to a #librem5

(and yes, I did call her back both times!)

The video for my @fosdem talk about @mobian has been published, feel free to have a look in case you weren't able to watch it live: fosdem.org/2022/schedule/event

FOSDEM 2022 was such a great experience, so many amazing talks and people! 🎉

Some of the recordings are already up, find them on the information pages of each talk! As a bonus thing, here's a short episode we spontaneously decided to record right afterwards.

I finally have a usable dedicated #postmarketOS device! Picked up a used OnePlus 6, which is timely considering @calebccff's awesome FOSDEM talk. Can't wait to play with this thing some more - great work to the @postmarketOS team :)

"@postmarketOS has also created one of the most helpful and welcoming open source community I've come across" as said by @calebccff.

I can confirm that, postmarketOS was one of the first distribution I came across when I first started getting involved in Linux mobile.

@kop316 Both the image @craftyguy made and the `u-boot` image in question can be found in the backlog of the matrix room :D

Forgot to mention, to select booting from the eMMC or the SD card you don't need to remove or insert the SD card. You just need to press the correct key combo on boot.

Booting a image from an SD card on a . In this case .
Got to play again with some work in progress code made by developers. In this case a u-boot image that allows the to boot from the SD cacrd. It can boot from the SD directly, but the video first I booted the image in the eMMC and then rebooted and booted from the SD card. Credits to the devs and to @craftyguy for making the image for the SD card to test this :D

FOSDEM talk was so much fun! thanks to everyone who came along.

Cheers @GuidoGuenther for hosting me :D it was great to chat

Sxmo 1.8.1 will be released soon with a fix for one of our most annoying and persistent issues - `sxmo_migrate.sh` between upgrades.

I have written a blog post about the change and why we need users to `sxmo_migrate.sh` on upgrades here:
