Aaannnndddd I'm back! Sorry, my Mastodon was down for a while. Hard drive failure with my backup system not yet properly setup meant I had to redo my whole server.
Mastodon especially was being pricky but after RTFM I'm back!

Well, with the amount of times people use the sentence:

"Have you set up SPF, dkim and dmarc for your domain?"

They must all be already dead by now.
There are other issues in email hosting has.

And sometimes the answer can be as simple as:

Gmail and MS mail filters s*ck, and it is an insane experience to get unblocked.

Every time you have problems that your self hosted email is blocked by Microsoft or Google. And you have no idea why because all you get from them are template replies, and then someone comes along and asks:

"Have you set up SPF, dkim and dmarc for your domain?"

A fairy dies.

CIVICRM is good for contact management, used it in a small NGO, where I had to centralize 8K contacts that were spread along every staff member thunderbird address book and create a centralized contacts list with no repeated contacts. All organized in groups and with tags,

Before that every time we announced an initiative people would send to their TB contacts and people would get the same email 4 times.

But @muppeth has experience maintaining a CIVICRM server
