Hey #Fediverse people, are there any reasonable self-hosted #FLOSS #CRM solutions you would recommend?

/cc @harce

@rysiek @harce well, it's not really a CRM, but I feel as though NextCloud's contact manager could be used as a basic one? It seems like it could be extended to work as a pretty good CRM, actually.

@sean @harce well, this is for a reasonably-sized org, so it really needs to be a decent CRM...

@rysiek @harce ah, yeah, that's fair.

I have heard good things about SugarCRM and CivicCRM, but have not tried either personally. Unfortunately, Salesforce has largely become the standard-bearer here.

@sean @harce @rysiek

CIVICRM is good for contact management, used it in a small NGO, where I had to centralize 8K contacts that were spread along every staff member thunderbird address book and create a centralized contacts list with no repeated contacts. All organized in groups and with tags,

Before that every time we announced an initiative people would send to their TB contacts and people would get the same email 4 times.

But @muppeth has experience maintaining a CIVICRM server

@sean @harce @rysiek @muppeth

As for the credentials part, CIVICRM is what the uses for their CRM solution
