@SlowRain @tootbrute

I still have it - Sony #XperiaX running #SailfishOS. Good secondary/backup phone (esp with my Pixel2's battery issues) but doesn't support all the apps I need.

@SlowRain

For the hardware, it's difficult for me to say since I'm not using it as my main device. At least the battery life is good: mastodon.org.uk/@cybette/10240

For #SailfishOS support, @leszek has a great video here with some thoughts: youtube.com/watch?v=q3aFCY33tS

Based on what I've heard from people I know using Sony devices (running either Android or Sailfish), the general concensus is positive for build quality and longevity.

@purism Nicole and I (taking the photo) on a little Librem 5 Birch fabrication trip...

Found this pic from exactly 7 years ago. Total coincidence (Oct 26 is good day for cleaning I suppose).

Just some conference badges I found while cleaning up. Will be collecting a couple more before year's end!

techrights.org/2019/04/07/linu @schestowitz keep up the good work great to see a site who trully gets the spirit and meaning of what great journalism is calling a spade a spade.

Forgot to note last weekend's victory against #AlteredFates, a DLC scenario for #MansionsofMadness. This was our second attempt and we played 2 investigators each (so 4 total). I like the concept of having different timelines, but execution is a mixed bag.

New data on the evolution of plants and origin of species

There are over 500,000 plant species in the world today. They all evolved from a common ancestor. How this leap in biodiversity happened is still unclear. Researchers now present the results of a unique project on the evolution of plants. Using genetic data from 1,147 species the team created the most comprehensive evolutionary tree for green plants to date.

Time to install some more software on my Librem 5.

This is fun. :)

I am seriously blown away by how much of the @gnome software works on the smaller, touch-centric screen of the .

The work of the GNOME team, the @purism crew, and so many independent developers that are making this happen... truly impressive.

All of you rule.

Installed unmodified desktop on my .

Performance is fantastic (can play some great DOS-era games), but the display is just a tiny bit too big for the screen.

Then I remembered it fit on the Librem 5 dev kit with one line changed in the .conf. (Window size.)

I find task switching on the (PureOS) really interesting.

The launcher and the switcher are the *same* view.

No apps are running: the grid of installed apps takes up the full view.

With apps are running: the top half becomes a row of the apps you can swipe through.
