I heard the church bell at midnight today. Apparently software issue; Empty rows were created 00:00 to 00:00 which interpreted as 24 hours ringing (acc to the newspaper).

@reality2cast @katherined @dsearls …I daily listen to plain old FM radio…
I cannot say I understand all details in the episode, far from, but that is the way to learn new things, challenge the brain and gain some new knowledge. Cheers

3:40 in the morning and the new day is already ongoing outside, where the birds are singing while I enjoy bedtime for some more hours. Nordic summer light.

@zaivala I've been conservative to Flat and Snap. Esp as they often are handled by someone else than developer. On the other hand, I have used more of AppImage (esp when coming from developer, which is common). But maybe I should change my mind!

@zaivala For any reason, on Strawberry site, they have multiple of download packages, ex three generations of Ubuntu.

@zaivala Hmmm. Maybe I've been lucky. As I recall, I first installed Clementine on Mint via repository. Then on macOS. I think it worked on Mint but not on macOS. Therefore I installed Strawberry on macOS (where main music still is), and it works. After latest macOS update a week ago, I had some trouble, but after reinstall (and upgrade, I believe). It works again. I tested today to install Strawberry on Mint, as deb via website (Flatpak exist in repository), and it works. But I a new user of S!

Strawberry is a nice music player and collection organizer I have started to use. It is a free open source software. Available for Windows, macOS and Linux. strawberrymusicplayer.org

@zaivala Hmmm. I'm not surprised. Despite, or because, I'm an electronics engineer in telecom, I'm cautious in connected things, I do mostly better without them, although it is at the same time fantastic what you can do - tempting. Or, as a precaution it can be good to put them on a separate network, that can help in some aspects.

@zaivala Thanks Moss! That is really old. I suppose, don't know, many IoT are not good at issuing updates anyway. I wonder how many Things that have some sort of automatic updates of eg firmware or other sw, Android team at least should have some resources and will to fix issues, more than many IoT may have. Well, thanks, Moss!

I think I’ve heard, eg at MintCast, that some IoT devices use very old and outdated versions of the Linux kernel, and by that increased vulnerability for privacy and security attacks. Any comment?

Right or wrong, now is Sweden very close to fill in the application form to join NATO, if we receive the form. Today the Social democrats have taken its decision, so now majority of parliament is pro to join NATO - as soon as possible.

I have never had any media center, but thought of it. I simply have all on my main machine. But after Bill at Mintcast (ep 381.5) talked about Jellyfin software, I put that on my Consideration list. jellyfin.org/

@kyle Thanks for good article. To keep privacy, or understand when and what is broken, is complicated. In addition, I think "we" often think out from "I have nothing to hide". Furthermore, when I was young, diaries books had a padlock (ok, easy to break), but it said this writing was private, in comparison to how we shout out a lot private/personal info on social media.
