As I understand it, it makes my post only show up when you're viewing my profile, and it doesn't show up in your timelines.
(I boosted it though, wanted to share)
Though the temperature seems unpredictable outside, I'm glad to see that our house keeps it at a nice -39.3°F with no humidity
Not even 0% humidity, just no humidity at all.
Boy, I've had this clock for a very long time.

Then you can go to Transfer Money, select your bank, and then it works.
Or... looks like it worked 😀
Finally managed to transfer money out of #Venmo into my bank account. The website is unhelpful; after various tries and some research, I found out that you can go to Settings > Payment Methods, then add a Bank account > Add Manually Instead, where you insert your bank's "routing number", which you can find on one of your checks between the MICR "transit" symbols ("⑆", they're not the symbol "1"). And insert your bank's "account number" (ignoring the MICR "⑈" symbol)
It looks like #India is going to require phones to use #USBC, like the EU. https://www.howtogeek.com/857706/another-country-is-making-usb-c-mandatory-on-phones/

I know lots of folks don't use correct punctuation on line, but when you want to, how to do end a sentence so that the link still works? Do you put a space before the "." or "?", do you try to reword the sentence so the link isn't the last word, or do you put it at the end and not worry about your readers' application correctly identify the link vs. punctuation?
When I visited Canada I was surprised at how much better the chocolate, even the inexpensive mass-produced chocolate, tasted compared to comparable brands in the US.
I could be because Canada has tighter regulations on % of chocolate in their recipes, but today I learned it was probably also the lack of lead and cadmium: https://metro.co.uk/2022/12/29/hershey-facing-lawsuit-over-heavy-metals-found-in-their-chocolates-18012980/

I've been very careful in how I approach pixelfed development in regards to Instagram and their ToS/trademarks.
This is why you can't crosspost, or otherwise access IG apis via Pixelfed.
They are grasping at straws at this point, along with banning Pixelfed urls, this behavior is desperate.
We must be doing something right 😉
@survey I like it when advanced software intentionally differentiates between advanced users and inadvanced users; E.g. having the basic settings in the settings window but then having a section labeled "Additional settings" or "Advanced settings".
I also think it's a good idea to make dangerous settings only available in e.g. config files; that way, hopefully a lot of the users who shouldn't touch them are excluded if they don't put in a bit of effort.
This boarding school banned smartphones. The results were promising!

I see what you did there Ernie
Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
