I do 20 minutes; it feels more refreshing than the normal 10. Scientifically, a nap is best at either 20 or 90 minutes, so this makes sense to me.
In case you're interested in how the #Fediverse has grown since 2019, here's a cool resource.

*sigh*
One day into it, and I've already unfollowed @georgetakei.
He's just being really negative and toxic (even if it's for a "good" reason), like on #BirdSite.
That isn't what this space is about, and I highly doubt anyone is going to be able to reach him and say, "Hey George, amigo, boss, awesome person; that's not the way we do it here."
Call me a #snowflake all you like. I just really enjoy the positivity here, and don't relish the idea of it turning into #BirdSite.
@janeayers @georgetakei Body shaming is wrong, and it's wrong regardless of who it's targeted at. Because it doesn't just affect the person it's directed at, but others who feel self-conscious about their appearance.
Whether it's due to age, weight, or other factors, our community is not interested in attacks on appearance here.
There are plenty of other ways to criticize Kari Lake without stooping to low blows.
I did post a largely uppercase response similar to the one I echoed in this thread, though. Maybe it was an automatic (shadow?)ban?
I responded to them and now my responses do not show up on their site. Dang. So much for them asking what we think

Don't push me towards a high on testosterone WHILE TRYING TO VIEW SOMETHING RELATED TO LED-LIT POLES ON A TECHNOLOGY-RELATED ACCOUNT
I'm on a no-timeline, free-speech instance (pros and cons there), I don't think reporting them will do anything on my instance. But I'm blocking them on my end.
I can't believe it. The official #RaspberryPi account posted straight-up pornography. Making it worse, the #RPi community is often children-focused. What the heck?
If your server bans nudity/porn, please take a moment to report them ( @Raspberry_Pi ) and keep #Mastodon safe. Thank you.
To this extent I'm really interested to know how the age breakdown of people on the #Fediverse. On one hand it would seem to make sense to me that most people here remember the "old internet" before the centralization and they're here to rekindle that flame of independence. On the other hand the youths are generally pretty up on this whole technology thing. I grew up on the internet and since then smartphones have become even more ubiquitous.
(Please boost for reach)
One feature I like about #Mastodon: whenever someone modifies a toot that I had boosted, Mastodon notifies me of this modification.
This simple feature has great potential for tackling disinformation that may arise from possible toot modifications.
Hey I won my first match against someone in a college Smash Ultimate tournament! The person I was competing against was kinda rusty though. But hey, I have been getting better! https://www.start.gg/tournament/rice-rumble-november-2022/events/ultimate-singles/brackets/1245597/1914150/overview
Developing Mastodon, I strive to use terminology that is familiar to as many people as possible so as to not put up unnecessary barriers in understanding. For this reason I am happy that we went away from calling posts "toots". It has always been a point of friction for people. Not that I dislike branding, quite the opposite, but in my experience receiving feedback over half a decade, it had a negative effect on the platform for little benefit.
Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
