So I started saying "how can I help you?" when I answer the phone instead of saying "yes?" because I remember being told that spammers can record you saying "yes" and use it to pretend that you agreed to something

For some reason, saying "how can I help you?" causes a lot of spammers to hang up

Being a computer programmer can be philosophically interesting. I'm working very directly with math and logic, the very thing the universe seems to be built with.

@yth Oh, SID. I've been listening to music by Linus Åkesson, who uses SID a lot. His music is generally better than most of the chiptune I've listened to, though it still hurts my ears sometimes.

Some of his albums say something like "RESYNTHESIZED"-"with alias-free oscillators", so maybe he played the music data through something without the soothing filter you're speaking of?

My read because I’ve been asked many times and need to sleep

The caveats and needs for further research the team notes are very honest. It’s hard to really calculate risk here because most vectors are physical and impact will vary by device and manufacturers.

It was for a 4KiB C64 demo contest! One of the insane things about it is that it actually starts out as a BASIC program, and transitions into assembly. All in 256 bytes

Wow, check this out: a 256-byte demo for the , which plays a cool song. To give you an idea of how tiny this program is, the music (and visuals!) is the contents of this message itself is 256 bytes long! (I got this idea from a YouTube comment)

@w84death That's a great birthday present. For Christmas I got a ThinkPad X41 tablet! 2005 technology, and cooler than what we have (raw power aside).
Now I just need a battery that lasts longer than 7 minutes and I can switch from my current ~2010 Dell Latitude computer for note-taking....
