@RL_Dane Take a test, get background checks, that sort of thing.
@RL_Dane I do believe that checks need to be in place.
@theblindarcher This is cool! Mr. Game And Watch was, let me guess, the easiest to draw ;P
@RL_Dane Gyms that teach pole dancing -- that sounds about right. Yah hard pass
@RL_Dane Maybe I should be calling what Raspberry_Pi posted "softcore porn"
@RL_Dane I mean maybe it isn't 'technically porn' in the sense they technically have clothing, but as I understand the word any media that is supposed to be erotic is porn.
@RL_Dane I think it is the most intense message I have posted on social media so far
@RL_Dane (Ack also https://raspberrypi.social/@Raspberry_Pi/109338352955901419 -- "@jessmahler Click the link for more photos and find them on Instagram for *video*" ugh they dared to )
@RL_Dane It looks like they have blocked me as well; when I view that link in private browsing mode I can see Raspberry_Pi's post I was replying to.
@RL_Dane I think this was my only reply: https://social.librem.one/@golemwire/109350754047874586
The second/last post in the chain is mostly uppercase though....
@Big_Diggity Quad core, 8 threads total. Base clock speed 1.8GHz, clock boost up to 4.9GHz :).
The system supports PCI passthrough, which is neat (it is a business-ish laptop, right?). Supports dual-channel RAM (though I only have 1 card installed, 16GB soldered, so no dual-channel for now). Thunderbolt supported. Has USB-C, HDMI, Ethernet, audio out, like computers should have IMO.
I could go on with some more properties, but I need to stop overdoing things :)
@Big_Diggity I'm running Ubuntu on a 2020 #ThinkPad T14. I actually don't particularly like Ubuntu, I used to run Arch and it was nice.
I also don't like #Lenovo, because of #China. I regret picking this laptop. But nonetheless it is a nice computer, solid and works great, except for the MicroSD slot which stopped working :(
But based on 2 accidents so far I have seen that it is indeed durable :D
@RL_Dane I mean Raspberry_Pi does like to delete people's replies when they dissent. (I would know.)
@servant Yeah I had no problem with them hiring an ex-cop. They seemed to emphasize that he built surveillance devices though, which was odd....
It's just that they responded so poorly to those responding. Wow! I saw RPi as perhaps a bit loose before but I never thought anything like this....
Wow, the situation with @Raspberry_Pi@raspberrypi.social *is* pretty bad.
Just see the screenshots, they are treating the community poorly.
I was even blocked sometime earlier for being upset about the softcore(?) pornography they posted earlier.
Hello there!
I boost a lot of posts, but I have a few things to say every now and then.
I am largely fine with boosting posts from people I disagree with even on significant, dividing issues. I usually don't, however, if they actively advocate for these ideas... so it goes :/
