@ruffni@mstdn.io You might consider https://minifree.org/ also, I recently got an X230 from there which works great. A downside is that you don't support new hardware development in that way, just recycling old stuff. But anyway, it's an option, and you get a libre operating system installed by default.
Looking for free/libre (FLOSS) computer games that can be fun for kids around 10 years old. So far, tried #minetest which is great. What else can you recommend?
Did you see this?
There they wrote:
"The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) launches today the public pilot phase of two social media platforms: EU Voice and EU Video."
and
"The two platforms are part of decentralised, free and open-source social media networks that connect users in a privacy-oriented environment, based on Mastodon and PeerTube software."
and they mention "digital sovereignty" and so on. Good stuff. There is hope! 🙂
Well they need to change that. I do not recognize "twitter" as an acceptable path to communicate with them. 😉
Could you please get vonderleyen a fediverse account?
Why does "twitter.com" need to be involved when referring to her? If you want digital sovereignty, free yourself, don't stay dependent on things like Twitter.
Hej!
> Dock - vad 'är' produkten då?
> Finns det 'en produkt' här?
Nej, ingen produkt.

Second, it's not so much that a democracy never goes to war, it's more that democracies tend to not go to war against each other. It is possible for a democracy, even a well functioning democracy, to go to war. But it will not happen without very strong reasons, and it will not be about attacking another democracy. People will never think that attacking another democracy is justified, and therefore a democracy (if it works well) will not do that.

A better functioning democratic system (than the current situation in USA) would mean more power to people and less power to huge companies. (Please note that USA is a pretty damn good democracy if we compare it to Russia which is not a democracy at all. For example, USA has real political opposition, you do not know in advance who will win elections, and people have freedom of speech.)

I have two answers to that:
First, the democracy in USA is far from perfect. In particular it seems like companies wanting to make money have too much influence, which I think has contributed to USA being at war more than what would have been the case otherwise. Simply put, the military industry has a lot of power, they want business and for them, war means more business.

@ruffni@mstdn.io have a look at MNT Reform, although you may have to wait a long time for it, in my experience you cannot trust the shipping dates they give.
@mntmn any news on when mine might get delivered? Ordered in Oct 2020. Still hoping it will eventually arrive.
