Curious about the Librem One moderation policy or code of conduct?
"If you are being harassed, or witness online harassment, block and flag the offending user, and a moderator will take action. We do not tolerate harassment."

@erikstl they had some hiccups, which should be resolved now. I think if you didn't get mail by now, you're supposed to retry.

Are you tired of having to explain to your users why their user interface suddenly changed because your SAAS vendor decided to deploy a change without informing you? How about #selfhosting to regain some control!

What The @#$%&! (Heck) is this #! (Hash-Bang) Thingy In My Bash Script
You've seen it a million times—the hash-bang (#!) line at the top of a script—whether it be Bash, Python, Perl or some other scripting language. And, I'm sure you know what its purpose is: it specifies the script interpreter that's used to execute the script. But, do you know how it actually works?

For those of you using Librem Chat on Android, the latest version (0.1.4) removes any code traces from trackers left behind in the upstream Riot codebase (we had disabled them before but the code itself was still there).
Tech companies and online platforms have other ways to address the rapid spread of disinformation, including addressing the algorithmic “megaphone” at the heart of the problem, and giving users control over their own feeds. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2019/05/censorship-cant-be-only-answer-disinformation-online
"Please try and use platforms that value open source firmware components. Chromebooks are a great example of this, as well as Purism computers."

Here's a list of my 3 favorite podcasts for tech-life:
Linux Podcast and general GNU paraphernalia talk. @klaatu is the host with his nice coffee breaks and Slackware as a base.
@lunduke hosts this podcast with his quirky humor and fun projects! I don't know his favorite/current distro. 😔
@linuxjournal puts this one on. They also have interesting discussion about the whole tech world.
Enjoy!
@purism To plausibly convey that librem.one does not lead to lock-in, you need to show (in addition to open standards) that leaving is non-painful, for example by pointing out ways to download/move data, and also the ability to downgrade back to a free account without losing everything.
Also, it is a bit insensitive to only have PureOS as a link, not the mentioned projects. Sends the wrong message.
@lunduke by the way, I always knew you belong to @purism
You might not remember, but late 2017 you quoted me in a show on "Linux things that make us smile", with "The prospect of holding a ... #FLOSS phone in my hands in 2019, thanks to Purism".
I tweeted that, specifically bc. I felt you didn't give it enough attention, silently hoping they'd sponsor the show one day.
Silently? Well, maybe I nudged staffers, too... ;)
Hope you'll level up PR
Communic. is basically my only criticism w Purism
So, Mr. @lunduke Sir, here I am.
As I said, I'll follow you everywhere 😉
