As far as I could find out my #nexdock360 does not deliver enough power to the #librem5 to keep it running and charge it at the same time.

The N360 delivers about 5V/1A which isn't enough - battery goes down by ~3%/hour when the L5 is idle, screen on.

On the road this doesn't matter, because both batteries discharge, but on the desk I'd love to see the L5 charging while I use it docket to the N360.

Would be worth buying a kind of power injector to the usb-c connection if that only existed...

This way the phone is usable like any #notebook. Performance is fine for most tasks. Didn't try things like #gimp, #libreoffice or #freecad, yet.

Didn't have to `root` the phone to get a root prompt or to dock it this way. It's just part of its functionality. Instead of `rooting` as way to use my device freely as I want and control my data I can now just alter open source software, program, improve.

If the microphone would be my only concern and my phone would be just a phone and not a mobile computer with a camera that also works as a phone, I'd be fine, yes.

But an A or G phone these days is a sophisticated survillance device and at the same time a very tempting and powerful computing device.

I do not want that kind of device without being in control over data flows and I do not want to give up on additional functionality a phone-only phone wouldn't have.

I'm sure right now I can run it as my main phone and ordered a second battery to overcome the short standby time.

I do not compare the phone to the surveillance devices that dominate the market, because they can't keep up with the privacy respecting design of #pinephone and #librem5.

I do not expect nor want noise interrupting me on "instant" messages. I expect people to call or sms if anything has to be answered soon.

For me: great work, right direction, away from Google and Apple

Started using my #Librem5 as my main phone. Taking the first call I received I first had to enable the micro by the hardware kill switch before the person on the other end could hear me. Gotta remember to do so when wanting to talk on the phone...

Das erste Mal seit längerer Zeit, dass mir aufgefallen ist, dass der Himmel mit Kondensstreifen voll ist. Mag auch an der Wetterlage liegen, aber vielleicht auch daran, dass die Pandemie ja (für die Wirtschaft) vorbei ist.

The recipe said to support the edge of the cake by aluminium foil. I thought that would be a waste and aluminium needs a lot of energy when produced. Same effect can be achieved by potatoes.

Damit hätte ich nicht gerechnet und mag mir nicht vorstellen, wie das für einen Menschen wäre, die/der in einer akuten Notsituation ist und sich nur einfach Hilfe wünscht.

I don't believe in that theory that the use on gas does change a got pot (beside the changes inside that can help to make it even better, because stuff does stick even less).

The only observation I made is that some pots (in my opinion the cheaper ones made of aluminum) do "receive" a lot less power from the induction field and need significantly longer to heat up.

We moved from gas to induction and exchanged only what didn't work with induction.

All the rest works great even though we used it already a lot on gas and non-induction electric stoves.

Assembled my #PiKVM and tested it for the first time controlling a #libreelec #rockpro64 remotely. Works great.

Can anybody recommend an #ups to protect a #nas? 650VA should be fine, #repairability preferred. Should be supported by #debian #linux standard software to shut down the #nas on low battery.
