#FroSCon starts tomorrow and we're having a short #phosh get together in the 📱 devroom (C117) at 16:30. Everyone interested is invited to share some #MobileLinux stories, attach names to faces and 🍾 the 0.30.0 release.
If you're using an external dock with touchscreen: Due to the wlroots update we need to update the touch mappings to make touch on the external output still work. There will soon be a phosh-mobile-settings bugfix release to make this simple for known docks: https://gitlab.gnome.org/guidog/phosh-mobile-settings/-/merge_requests/63

phosh 0.30.0 is out 🚀📱:
The major change is switching #phoc to newer #wlroots but there's more fixes and improvements.

@KekunPlazas I've put something in our matrix chat.
There will be a sticker exchange @FrOSCon this year. So please bring some, take some :) #froscon #froscon18
@linmob 😢 But maybe it fits in? FroScon is nice, even without a mobile dev room.
Interested how #phosh and #GNOME calls interact for emergency calls? Here's a short overview https://phosh.mobi/posts/emergency-calls/
FroSCon takes place 2023-08-05 and 2023-08-06 in St. Augustin near Bonn in Germany: https://froscon.org/info/
There will be a #LinuxMobile #devroom at #FroSCon2023:
https://froscon.org/programm/projektraeume/
It's open both days for #hacking, discussion and ad-hoc sessions but you can also schedule a talk:
https://mensuel.framapad.org/p/froscon23-mobile
Hopefully see you there!
@rmader yay! And we get nicer icons on #LinuxMobile phones for the various sound devices (e.g. in #phosh's audio settings) since #PipeWire 0.3.73 as this is supported for UCM now too.
On the #CyberResilienceAct #CRA the @fsfe has already proposed a solution that will lead to more #security while safeguarding #FreeSoftware (#OpenSource):
* Liability should be shifted to those *deploying* Free Software instead of those *developing* Free Software and
* Those who significantly financially benefit from this deployment should make sure the software becomes CE-compliant
@kyle That's handled by beamer. In org-mode it's just
#+BEAMER: \pause
e.g. https://git.sigxcpu.org/cgit/talks/2022-07-dc22-debian-on-smartphones/tree/talk.org#n91
@kyle I've explored the browser route many years back and went back to PDF as it's easier to drag around and I can do it in org mode. It's usually less flashy though.
@kyle pdfpc handles that nicely. I'm still dragging around a fork for #mobile use with #phosh: https://source.puri.sm/guido.gunther/pdfpc-mobile
You get the slides on the external output and a shrinked down version with your notes on the #librem5 screen.
