Procedural.
In college, we just learned these three:
1. Procedural
2. OOP
3. Nobody likes lisp
@sir
@purism
Wow. Now there's a goal for number of app votes?
I should have just donated less money more times, so I could have more votes :P
@purism
I love this! What I'm wondering is how much money do you need and how many people need to click "Hold my order" in order for me to get my Librem 5 phone this year 😜.
Introducing: Fund Your App
Vote for the mobile phone apps you desire to see working on the #librem5 phone!
https://puri.sm/fund-your-app/
"Fund Your App is a great way to show how far we have come with the Librem 5 and PureOS, it also allows people to vote on what is our app development priority."

@silence
How does silence handle pairing between devices before starting end-to-end encryption?
Any plans to port to the linux phone software projects?
While the messages are being stored encrypted on one's device, how are the decryption keys stored?
@slisne
What kind of features are you using?
@slisne
It's cold, and dark, and it gets everywhere!
@beegrrl
From the pinephone wikipedia page
> Because no software development costs are incurred by Pine64, the PinePhone's selling price (US$149.99 for the basic model[26]) is lower compared to other Linux phones, notably the Librem 5 (US$749.99[27]),
I wish @purism had spent more effort in getting community members to share the SW development burden.
Nothing says "We love open source" quite like "join our Discord channel".
Also... #Mattermost (open source self-hosted Discord alternative) is sponsoring #DigitalOcean #Hacktoberfest ...? That makes no sense.

@neauoire
Wow... I didn't know about this before. Time to #quitDigitalOcean?
Anybody got recommendations? I might just switch to self-hosting, but the power/internet isn't always reliable at my house.
How about instead of corporations clothing random idiots in their advertising in exchange for flooding FOSS maintainers with garbage, we provided strong mentorship to a new generation of engineers under the tutelage of maintainers whose sustainable careers are guaranteed by the direct financial support of those same corporations?
@q
Exactly. I was (and still am) really hoping to transfer my Google voice number to some Librem One voice service, but seeing this makes me worry about the solvency of @purism .
Paying $35/month for unlimited with T-mobile, but maybe I'd consider this **if** my carrier starting sending me targetted ads. (Number porting is a must though, maintaining 2 phone numbers is hard enough)
@jameschip
It's marginally related to your toot I replied to.
The question was posed mostly for effect, and does not necessarily need an answer. If you were also curious, you could boost it.
@jameschip
Many use a google email address to create an account anywhere. Though I guess @sir would say you don't need an email address to form online friendships if you just use IRC.
@jameschip
Are there any mastodon/fediverse servers which don't require an email address to sign up?
Just your average linux user (above-average computer-person) with fullstack web dev experience.
