The @PINE64 PinePhone is real! Here are some recent videos of it running:

:kde: postmarketOS + #PlasmaMobile: youtube.com/watch?v=8V711Iordo

:ubuntu: Ubports Ubuntu Touch: twitter.com/Mariogrip/status/1

🍣 #SailfishOS: vimeo.com/357952216

Even better performance to be expected once all these platforms, now at their earliest stage, are optimized enough.

@ubports @switchingsocial@mastodon.at Out of the short list of Ubuntu Touch (ubports) recommended phones, do any of them work well with Verizon? They are the only decent carrier where I live. I want to have a linux phone by Christmas and I don't know if the Pine Phone is going to work on Verizon. Big Red is notorious for not playing well with smaller phone makers.

@purism Will a version of @pixelfed be joining the Librem. One lineup? Will it be free of cost like Social or part of the paid offerings?

@switchingsocial@mastodon.at Wow! Big thanks to the switching social community here. I have a lot of options to go explore.

@switchingsocial@mastodon.at I've been able to find acceptable substitutes for Google Docs and for Gmail, but I'm struggling to find a good Google Calendar replacement. I need something that is easy to set up, can sync between a phone and desktop client, and preferably has a free or at least cheap option. What are my options?

People have asked us in the past: why can I trust ProtonVPN? This is a significant question as trust is the most important factor for picking a #VPN service. Here’s why we think ProtonVPN is worthy of your trust: protonvpn.com/blog/is-protonvp

RT @DarknetDiaries: Ep 38: Dark Caracal.

Big thanks to @cooperq and @evacide from @eff on their research and sharing the story! Also great…

I wonder how the upcoming @PINE64 phone is going to compare to older options. Will I be better off flashing something like @ubports to an old Nexus? I really want a phone running FOSS! Will the new Pine Phone come with the same warning as the Pinebook about not using it for daily life? Or will it be more like the Pro- not powerful but definitely usable? I can't afford a @purism Librem 5 which is what I really want. What's my best (usable) sub-$200 option?
