cat=$((cat+1)) 😺

I'm back from the vet this morning with an official adoption for Geuloush. He is a fully-grown male cat who has probably been abandoned by his former owners in the summer. 😡
We put notices around our house in search of them, but failed to get any feedback. The poor thing was starving and in bad shape. After a month of care, he is now loving and healthy. 💜 He'll be neutered soon. He is an exact copy of Miolek our number 3 and here is a photo of them:

Almost doubled the battery life of the @purism Librem 5 phone I am testing and reviewing that I had purchased. I stumbled across a blog of theirs mentioning automatic suspend and this alone turned me leaving work with an almost dead phone to it having roughly 56% battery. It still needs to be greatly improved to match mainstream expectations and it gets a bit warm but it’s now actually useable as my secondary phone #infosec #cybersecurity #cellphone #linux

@chiefgyk3d @simonzerafa

I just remembered:

There's also an option in bm818-tools to "enable CBS" IIRC.
Not super sure what it does, but the code would be somewhere around here: source.puri.sm/Librem5/bm818-t

@chiefgyk3d

Have a look at gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile- where some of our engineers have also posted.

So while it is not ideal the community is certainly aware of the issue :)

@thomholwerda I've been using @snikket_im for the past couple of years with the family and it's been great. Snikket app on mobile and dino on desktop works perfectly. Material you is coming to Conversations 3 (snikket is based off / forked from Conversations). The family server runs on a rpi sat in the kitchen but if you don't want to self host then there is a hosted option. https://snikket.org/hosting/

I just talked with one of our engineers, this is what they had to say:

It could be a broken CC line on the L5 or it could be a crap cable.
Getting a trace using the debugging steps here source.puri.sm/Librem5/firmwar might help (identifying what's going on)

@stujr@bsd.cafe

From personal experience there have been a good amount that worked (discourse forums, some sites local transportation sites in germany) but a few that didn't.

You'd need to check the individual site.

Open browser () to install and manage PWAs.

To install: just visit the site you're interested in and install it as PWA from the (hamburger) menu.

Updated @allanday's Disks mockups to a split view layout. Always surprising how much of a difference this small change makes visually :)

Had the need to charge an all electric Kia recently and guess what: both the charging stations app and the vendor's app are proprietary so how would I know when charging finished?

Turns out people around figured out the vendor API so I could use that to have a small app to monitor the charging status on my running

@stujr@bsd.cafe

It depends on the carrier, sadly.

AweSIM (our MVNO) and T-Mobile work well (4G and VoLTE working). IIRC Verizon does not work at all (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Shortish impressions from #linuxday

I've took an early enough train so that I would be able to attend the very interesting talk about #libcamera at 10:00

Of course having arrived at the premises I quickly scouted out the stands, and immediately met with some #Debian friends and noticed a huge, but friendly #linux penguin wearing a #froscon shirt :)

Sollte klappen.
