Why is choice(seq(A, B), seq(A, C))
different than seq(A, choice(B, C)).
I understand the later is better and the tree is somehow different, but the result should be the same.

Hm have I just given me the answer, since in #treesitter the tree IS probably the result?

@datenteiler I'm wondering too why there is no real competitor. Maybe because decision makers don't realy care?

@duncan_lithgow oh and they have theyr own macro language, based on fortran, but very different syntax. Pretty hard to read, thats why I came up with the treesitter idea. And yes they have a c# api now, but there is this 20y of dev codebase...

@duncan_lithgow i know that forum thanks. Its a german cad called #hicad. Not very common outside of the german lang region. But i like its 2d/3d concept.

@duncan_lithgow Oh thanks very much. I was able to fix it. It was a logic error after all.
I have a huge codebase to maintain. Based on a very old CAD scripting langugae. So I thought: why not invest in tools first.
But i have no idea where this goes. Its my first parser grammar after all.

Beeing proud of myself because i ran into a #parser conflict the first time in my #treesitter project at work. No idea whats the problem, but motivated to solve this.
Had to tell fedi because nobody cares anyway ^^.
