I just sent and received calls between my SIP account and landline phone using my #Librem5 and the native Calls application, and it was pretty exciting.
A lot has happened around #CollaboraOnline 🆒
The talk "A Year Of COOL" that @cor4office@twitter.com held at the @libreoffice@twitter.com conference 2021 is now available together with more talks by #Collabora in our #LibreOffice playlist on #YouTube.
Watch it here 📹 http://youtube.com/c/CollaboraOffice/playlists
I just learned @calebccff has a Liberapay profile and I'm now buying them a weekly cup of coffee for their awesome work in mainlining #OnePlus devices on #postmarketOS!
Please show your support so they can get more OnePlus devices to mainline and continue their awesome work!
A casual reminder that @Framasoft almost exclusively lives on donations.
Do you value their technical work: @peertube, @mobilizon and many smaller contributions to various projects?
Do you value their fantastic social work which encourages citizens and organisations to emancipate themselves from bad actors?
Then you can support their work financially on https://soutenir.framasoft.org/en !

This week in NeoChat we had a mini-sprint in Berlin, improved our settings and fixed tons of papercut. Read it at https://carlschwan.eu/2021/10/22/this-week-in-neochat/

If they are not listed or solved there then it is an actual bug :D
Just a small note. Since this is still a work in progress, still being worked on, the manjaro version is missing 3 patches that were added since they pulled the patches into their package.
One of these 3 patches fixes the app not being hidden behind the keyboard, another declares the app as adaptive.
So if you test it please check if issues you find are already solved in the version that is in the Purism repo. Or mentioned in the issue tracker there.
Adaptive version of #gnome #calendar running on #pureos on the #librem5. This is still a work in progress, some issues still need to be solved before releasing this. But again; “hey it’s progress” :D.
Credits to @KekunPlazas fr his work on this.
@linmob about the manjaro phosh with adaptive calendar. It seems that they are using the patches that @KekunPlazas worked to make an adaptive version for pureOS and mobile in general:
manjaro repo:
https://gitlab.manjaro.org/manjaro-arm/packages/community/phosh/gnome-calendar-mobile
PureOS repo:
Again that is still a work in progress. It is almost done, but has not yet been merged in the downstream version.
If you want to test it you can see the issues list here and add some more here:
Insightful. We can't repeat often enough that @mobian , @debian , @postmarketOS , @manjarolinux and others would not be where they are now, without @purism adopting a cooperative upstreaming policy. We would wager that everyone purchasing a (true) Linux device now, benefits from your investments. There is plenty to criticize and nag about you 😝, but you are doing the whole FOSS community a service that could not easily be replicated by volunteers.
This is convergence; the same software stack across devices and your user/app data working across devices.
Recently flashed my #Librem5 with byzantium. And wanted to restore the data for the apps I use on the #librem5 (podcasts, rss feed, mastodon account, online radios, email). I simply copied the directories of those apps from my laptop home folder to the #librem5 home folder, and it was all there, and all the apps worked.
Yes, I know that for linux users the idea of syncing data across home folders is normal. But it still feels kinda cool to be able to do that between a laptop and a phone.
