It's hard to believe it's been a year since I replaced my personal computer with a and laptop dock. In this post I talk about my impressions, the docks I've tried, and using my Librem 5 as a tablet. puri.sm/posts/my-first-year-of

Matrix is seeing significant uptake in Ukraine 🇺🇦, as covered by @politico@twitter.com on Thursday: politico.com/newsletters/morni. Huge kudos to @CenoBrowser@twitter.com for providing local deployments to allow secure comms even if connectivity to the wider internet is disrupted.

of course, the first line implies the context that it was a joke.

I actually agree that we should go to war with Russia over Ukraine (while also protecting our borders.) However, we should only go to war if we plan on fighting to win. Which means dropping a nuke on Moscow on day 1.

We believe people should have secure devices that protect them rather than exploit them. To that purpose, we provide everything you need in a convenient hardware and software product. We offer high-quality hardware and software with a focus on privacy, security, and freedom. The difference is one spends more money the other spends less.

Commercial fertilizer maybe. There is still a lot of natural fertilizer in the US that works as good or better than commercial.

#FirefoxESR on #PureOS on the #Librem5 has (finally) been updated to 91.6. This renders the installed firefox-esr-mobile-config package non-working, but while we're waiting for an update to land, you can (assuming you have git and build-essential installed) just do the following:
`git clone gitlab.com/postmarketOS/mobile
`cd mobile-config-firefox`
`make`
`sudo make install`.

Firefox may need one (or more) restart, but after that it should look like in my photo:

Tobias Bernard (@tbernard) gives a brief overview of adaptive apps on GNOME that work well on computers of all shapes and sizes. Full talk at fosdem.org/2022/schedule/event

I finally fired Google. In this post I write about how I got locked in, how I got out, and what took me so long. puri.sm/posts/i-finally-fired-

Another good reason to buy an L5 is that you are supporting the development of Mobile Linux. Purism pays for a full time engineers to develop for mobile linux!

Less than 1hr from the start of my @fosdem talk, I wanted to share a small surprise: this, ladies and gentlemen, is a @Fairphone 4 running @mobian :)
Still far from full support, but kudos to @z3ntu for their work on mainlining this device!

#fosdem #mobilelinux

I finally ironed out the remaining known issues in my #PinePhone autowake script!
It now works fine on @mobian and @ManjaroARM with both #Phosh and #PlasmaMobile.
I guess it should also work fine on a #Librem5...

It's purpose is to wake up the phone periodically to check emails and instant messages (since we don't have push notifications yet).

And now it does not cut calls inadvertently anymore ^^"

You can check it out on the @codeberg repo: codeberg.org/Silmathoron/pinep
