Huh. RMS hasn't actually quit the FSF. He's "stepped down" to a role where he can have the same amount of authority but be less accountable.

youtube.com/watch?v=ZnTMPuH5Wz Classic interview from the worlds greatest community manager bringing community and company togther now currently at redhat huge fan of all of @cybette work she has done over the years no matter what she is doing or where she is doing it always gives a clear concise interview!!!

@keithzg don't know what you mean with 'imperfect'.

I use my first type #Jolla for five years now, with still updated #SailfishOS and it works *perfect*, and indeed ssh, scp and rsync are great to transfer files from my main *BSD box.

I don't use the Android layer, only native apps. I don't need apps when there is a website.

when you use a smartphone to do some tiny things on the road, it just servers well! a smartphone isn't a replacement for a UTP connected power box. never meant to be.

My mom died today. I loved my mom and I am going to miss her.

A powerful thing about the running PureOS instead of a mobile-specific OS is that existing desktop apps run w/o porting to a new platform, some just need UI tweaks to fit on the screen. GNUcash works out of the box in landscape mode both without the toolbar at default scaling and with the toolbar scaled 1.5x.

Started programming my first app for the in C.
Hope to be ready with my first idea until Evergreen 😅
But I already love being able to chose which language you want to use!

@sailfishosnews Hey
I am for about ten days a very happy Sailfish-user.
There is one thing I am missing though. I would like the possibility of setting the vibration on/off in the top menu. Could that be possible?
And btw thanks for a great product!

On the day I would like to say thank you to all those developers out there, that has made it possible for me to run on my different laptops since 2003.
I would also like to thank for not reading through my e-mails, and giving me a possibility of using strong encryption easily.
Also I would like to thank the developers of and for making it poossible for me to have a phone, that is free from the surveillance capitalists.
Keep up the good work!

Since we're talking about old operating systems... does anyone still remember Novell DOS? Does anyone even remember Novell?! 😄

Collecting video games isn't much of a hobby, it's more of an obsession 😂

"A quick video to show how quick and smooth #SailfishOS runs on the #Pro1. Especially it's true multitasking! Still feels smooth even handling 18 apps in the background." | via @chenliangchen
