@zaivala I did install this particular flatpak. It took several minutes to install, long compared to normal packages. But it works. And i I did my first monitor calibration, took almost an hour! I have not read the manual… I have some thoughts if it has problem to interact with Mint settings automatically because it is in a flatpak-container. I have to explore more another day. But this foss is promising!

For your information: I have installed #DisplayCAL on my #Linux #Mint machine. DisplayCal is a #FOSS; free and open software for screen calibration. I use it with my #Spyder5 from #DataColor. DataColor own sw does not support Linux. The initial profiling and measurement took an hour. I must read more how it works. But I manage to get a calibration done, which is needed, for the external monitor, still to find out about the internal laptop monitor. Good start anyway! #WalkingToLinux

@hq1 You are welcome! I have used it now and then for a couple of years, but on mac. I have not (yet) tested on Linux, but may well do it. A drawback is that Corel seems to not be interested in development, only minor upgraded. They acquired it from Bibbles. It is not expensive. Easy to use and low on resources. But may lack features and development.

@hq1 Corel AfterShot Pro 3 is commercial and available for Linux.

@ChrisShaw I’m uncertain. It’s the one I have. I am trying to recall that I may have read some post about an upgraded fubtion in a later release, maybe not fully released. I have not read details from eg Github. Each instance can as I understand, reasonable, be on different releases. So maybe, maybe not, Sorry for this non-answer.

I did not know that #Twitter is built on #Linux #CentOS. Release 7, EOL 2024-06-30. The article suggest that Twitter can have a hard work to upgrade to latest release or shift to a similar OS or to the business oriented and supported #RHEL. @cfarivar@sfba.social I know employee rights are different in USA. But this fire is so bad and weird. And stupid. Management by fear. How to get employees to feel proud and happy fir their company? Or to walk the extra mile? Or share any thougt, idea or opinion that may not be well taken by management. High floor and low ceiling.
